The challenge of not being able to walk or partially able to use her hands, has never deterred Jyoti from achieving the near-impossible. Starting with data entry jobs in 2010, today Jyoti leads a team of city and state coordinators serving the elderly in 31 Indian cities.

Abhijit Mali

National Coordinator

Abhijit holds a bachelor’s degree each in Science (Physics) and Physical Education. He has recently completed his masters in Economics. He was a wrestler and competed in the inter-university wrestling championship before meeting with a bike accident in 2014, where his hands and legs suffered injuries. He started his journey with Maya CARE with basic calling and is fast growing into a leader who aspires to nurture coordinators and ensure sterling services.

Anupama Kulkarni

Administration Assistant

Anupama has completed her M.Sc (Information Technology) from Mumbai University. She has hearing impairment but has overcome this hurdle using hearing aids to communicate. Currently, she is serving as an Administration Assistant at Maya CARE.

Sandhya Atram

Team Manager

Sandhya is a post graduate in Arts from Nagpur University and also a graphic designer. Disabled from birth, Sandhya’s bones do not grow. At Maya CARE, she ensured the vaccination of 1200 elderly with a team of people with varied disabilities. From a wheelchair in Chandrapur, she manages Maya CARE UK operations and coordinates 4 BPM projects. Handled independently in translation of Dr. Mary Groves Rowe movies, UK in 16 International Languages. In addition to handling the responsibilities at Maya CARE, she has assumed the responsibilities of her family after her father's demise.

Pritam Das

Team Manager

Being a wheelchair user, he completed his Higher Secondary and started journey with Maya CARE with basic data searching and did various projects under Team Leader (CSR project, placement project, West Bengal state coordinator).

Shikha Vishwakarma

Special Project Head

Shikha Vishwakarma is an exceptional individual, a B.Com (H) Graduate from University of Calcutta, and a recipient of the West Bengal State Award for Outstanding Self Employed under PwD Category. Currently, she works at Maya CARE Foundation as a Special Project Head, managing utilisation certificates, documentation, compliance, Training, New Country Project.

Savita Subedar

State Coordinator

Working with Maya CARE for the last one year, Savita is the state coordinator for Mumbai and Bangalore. She handles recruitment and looks after ICICI Lombard and SVP projects. Prior to Maya CARE, Savita has worked in a fashion designing company, call center, HDFC bank, and Eureka Forbes.

Madhuri Kharate

City Coordinator & PR

Madhuri holds a bachelor’s degree in Arts as well as D.T. Ed. She coordinates Maya CARE activities for Pune & PR. She has locomotor disability, which was also the reason she faced harassment and subsequently abandonment by her husband. At Maya CARE, she leverages her strength of being able to speak on the phone confidently. She coordinates with volunteers across locations to ensure quality services are rendered to the elderly without any disturbance. She also coordinates with the volunteers of large companies for volunteering engagement and manages various events of Maya CARE.

Sowmya S

UK Coordinator & Award application

From Bangalore, successfully overcomes challenges to achieve her vision after deteriorating her eyesight at 15. At Maya CARE she manages three projects, and under her leadership, the foundation has transformed the lives of many people with disabilities.

Shubhangi Kharate

Project Coordinator

Based in Buldhana district, Maharashtra, A skilled State Coordinator at Maya Care, with a Master's degree in Arts and BFSI specialisation, manages four projects with team leaders. Her proficiency in Excel, meticulous record-keeping reflects her commitment and excellence in her role.

From Delhi native with a Bachelor of Arts and technical skills, is currently a Project Coordinator at Maya CARE, responsible for managing helplines, CSR outreach, and service coordination
